With the support of Favourite by 5R, a private kitchen which serves French dishes, a Charity Night was held earlier to raise fund for Heep Hong Society. To make this Charity Night more meaningful and unique, five young members of Heep Hong Society participated the event by being “one-day staff” to prepare dishes and support operation. The event not only provided the young people a chance to gain such valuable experience, but also supported the Society’ services for children & young people with special needs.
Five young members of Heep Hong Society were sent to the restaurant for training few weeks before the event, where they leant how to fold napkins, take order and serve food. They also learnt to prepare the dishes on that night under the guidance of Chef Kenneth Chan. The event was very successful and appreciated by the guests.
Favourite by 5R has been supporting Heep Hong Society for over 10 years, who also provided advises and training to the STAR Café of Heep Hong Society Integrated Service Complex. We would like to express our gratitude for their trust in Heep Hong to make the night happen and provided the young people a chance to gain such valuable experience. The proceeds of the night will be donated to Heep Hong Society in support of children and young people with special needs.
Apart from Favourite by 5R, our long-standing F&B partner – Mayfare Concept, will also arrange 13th September as Charity Day for Heep Hong Society. Namo Avant Thai, Gaylord Indian Restaurant and Gunpowder Indian RestoBar under the Group will donate a percentage of sales (after deducting cost) in support of Heep Hong Society’s services. We’re hereby appeal for your support!
