Educational Psychologist

Responsibilities
  • Enhance children's learning abilities and address their emotional and behavioral problems through the provision of assessment, professional consultation and intervention
  • Provide professional support to schools, teachers, parents and communities
  • Act as consultant to provide advice on the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programmes for children with special needs at the centres of Society and educational settings (Kindergartens, Primary Schools and Secondary Schools)
  • Provide assessment and advice on the management of difficult cases in various service units and offer counseling to parents as needed
  • Provide staff trainings and deliver training courses for parents and teachers
  • Involved in the coordination, evaluation, and upgrading of the overall programmes of the centres/units
  • Take part in China Project as arranged by the Project Manager
  • Initiate and manage research and special projects of the Society
  • Undertake any other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Master of Educational Psychology or equivalent
  • Obtained full membership of the Division of Educational Psychology of the Hong Kong Psychological Society and/or Hong Kong Association of Educational Psychologists or an equivalent status in an internationally recognized professional organization of Educational Psychology
  • With experience in pre-school rehabilitation service is highly preferred
