Part I: About Heep Hong Services
Q. What are the target service groups of Heep Hong Society?
A: Heep Hong Society attends to the needs of children from birth to studying in junior secondary schools with developmental problems, such as autism, Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder and specific learning difficulties, and their families.
Q. What are the scopes of Heep Hong Services?
A: Heep Hong Society is committed to providing professional care, education, training and family support services to children of different abilities to help them reach their full potential in a happy and healthy environment, thereby contributing to a more inclusive society.
Heep Hong operates 30 service units including Early Education & Training Centres, Special Child Care Centres, Mixed-mode Centres, Healthy Kids Nursery School, Parents Resource Centres and Supportive Leaning Project offices. Its 400-strong professional team comprised of clinical psychologists, educational psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and pre-school teachers provide a diversified and comprehensive scope of services, which includes:

Heep Hong Society is also dedicated to sharing its experience and knowledge through seminars and workshops with child care workers, teachers, therapists and other professionals in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Mainland China with a view to improving rehabilitation services in the region as a whole. Heep Hong also publishes a wide variety of publications and multimedia products to share its knowledge and experience with professionals, parents, children and members of the public.
Q. What are the main funding sources of Heep Hong Society?
A. Government subventions and funding from the Community Chest account for around 70% of Heep Hong’s operating incomes. Q. What is the governance of Heep Hong operations and finance matters?
A. The Executive Committee and seven sub-committees and working groups monitor Heep Hong’s policies in various aspects and map out the direction of organizational development. In particular, the Finance and Fundraising Sub-committees oversee the raising and use of funds. Members come from different sectors of society and serve on committees on a voluntary basis.
Q. Where does the donation of a monthly donor go to?
A. Donations contributed by monthly donors are used to sustain the operation of Parents Resource Centres and provision of non-subvented services in support of parents of children with special needs.
Part II: About Monthly Donation
Q. Is my contribution eligible for tax relief?
A. Heep Hong Society is a registered charitable organisation exempt from tax under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. Donations of HK$100 or more are tax deductible with official receipts.
Q. How can I join the Monthly Donors’ Program?
A. Heep Hong has commissioned a team of fundraising ambassadors to go to different locations in Hong Kong such as MTR stations, bus terminus, footbridges, piers and streets to introduce Heep Hong’s work to the members of the public. To become a monthly donor, one can fill in a donation form on the spot to make donations to Heep Hong by bank autopay or credit card on a monthly basis. The donation form can also be downloaded from our website.
Q. What are the one-off donation channels?
A. You can donate to us through the following channels:
- PPS: If you have a PPS Account, you can use PPS by Internet or use PPS by phone to make donations. To learn more about how to open a PPS account, please click here.
- Online Donation
- Direct Transfer: Please bank in your donation to our Hang Seng Bank account (024-280-348822002) and return the receipt with your correspondence address to us by fax or by post.
- Crossed Cheque: Please make the cheque payable to “Heep Hong Society” and send it to us with your correspondence address
- Credit Card: Please download and print out the Donation Form and send the completed form to us by mail or fax
Q. Do the fund-raising ambassadors have any proof of identity?
A. All fundraising ambassadors are in Heep Hong uniforms. They also wear an ambassador identity card and hold a working license issued by Heep Hong Society. You may also call us (3618-6322 / 3618-6324) during the office hours to verify their identities.
Q. Is there any privacy policy to protect the received personal information?
A. Heep Hong Society strictly complies with Chapter 486 – the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong. All fund-raising ambassadors have signed a non-disclosure agreement. Personal information provided by donors is kept in strict confidence and only for the purposes of record, donation transaction processing and communication. After donors sign the donation form, they will receive a copy of the form for retention. They can find the donation transaction record in their bank statement. Should there be any queries, or any change of personal and account information, donors are welcome to contact us or the bank.
Q. Is there any charge for monthly donations through credit card, Autopay or PPS?
A. The bank or PPS will charge Heep Hong a service fee for each donation made by autopay or credit card.
Q. When is the transaction date of monthly donation?
A. Monthly transactions through bank Autopay and credit card will normally be processed on 7th day and 25th day of the month respectively. Should the transaction fail, a second attempt will be made before the transaction date of next monthly donation. Monthly donations will continue until further notice is received from the donor.
Q. What should I do, if I want to terminate the monthly donation?
